Come visit the Abilene Outdoor Adventures staff at the Kansas travel and tourism booth in Omaha Nebraska the 25th -28th of February. Roland and Dave will be in attendance working along side the Kansas Department of Commerce staff during the show. This cooperative effort is to better represent the State of Kansas and promote travel and tourism for the state. In other news we have received our lodging license from the state and are now taking bookings for any and all activities. Abilene Outdoor Adventures attended the Denver Sportsman Show January 7th through the 10th. We helped promote both the state of Kansas Travel and Tourism along with Abilene Outdoor Adventures new lodge. We talked to many fine people from the state of Colorado and shared many outdoor oportunities available in the great state of Kansas. The lodge is now complete and we are accepting reservations for the upcoming seasons. In the future we will be traveling to the Omaha Sports show in late February and possibly the Northwest Sports Show in Minneapolis Minnesota in late March. Turkey season is fast approaching so if you are looking to Turkey hunt in Kansas give us a call.

The Kansas Fur Harvestor Rhondy was held October 3rd, 4th and 5th. Abilene Outdoor Adventures made a trip down to Yates Center to visit with some trapping friends. Kirk Miller of Possum Creek Control was there doing what he does best. Educating Kansas Trappers! Kirk knows his stuff when it comes to coyotes and cats! The weather is turning cold early and the Deer are starting to move more frequently during daylight so I will be posting new pictures and hopefully getting a little bow hunting done myself. Abilene Outdoor Adventures made the trip to Guthrie Oklahoma this last weekend and met some really quality people. Take Oliver Lurry owner of Oklahoma Territory Bows. Oliver has some real quality for those traditional archers out there. All of his bows are hand made and would really add some challenge to your next Kansas Bow hunt. Abilene Outdoor Adventures will be heading to Yates Center Kansas this Saturday the 4th of October to attend the Kansas Furharvesters Rhondy. This event will feature vendors and seminars to teach all aspects of Kansas predator trapping. Abilene predator trapping will be represented at the roundup by the Abilene Outdoor Adventures team an we will have a report from that event as well.

The Abilene Outdoor Adventures team will be traveling to Oklahoma for the Oklahoma Wildlife Expo Show held at the Lazy E arena in Oklahoma City. The event is sponsored by the Oklahoma Wildlife and Parks Dept. Abilene Outdoor Adventures is going down to represent our Kansas Hunting Outfitters and the only lodge rental in in the Abilene Kansas area. So far, the lodge is coming along nicely and will be offering some of the best Turkey and Deer hunting available in Kansas. Stay tuned.

We specialize in archery hunting and trapping on small to large tracks of land located in central Kansas. Archery is our focus, but we do allow the use of a shotgun for turkey hunting if you prefer.
Our lodge is located just northwest of Historic Abilene, Kansas. Our hunting grounds are located within Deer Management units 8, 9, and 14. Our hunting lands consists of rolling hills, crop land and creek bottoms that are home to some of America’s best deer and turkey available to the outdoor enthusiast. We outfit some of the nation’s best outdoor hunting available in the Central Kansas Region.
